College & Career Readiness (CCR)

A new requirement for graduation starting the 2021-22 school year is that students have one credit in College & Career Readiness.  This class helps students make the transition from high school to college, the military, and/or the workforce.  Students learn how to fill out applications for scholarships, college, and jobs as well as how to create a resume and effectively participate in an interview.  Financial aid is explored, and students are assisted in completing the FASFA as well as the Mississippi Aid application.  Personal Finance is also a large component of the course.  Students learn the essentials of money management to prepare them to be financially responsible. Students also explore various careers through research, interviews, and zoom meetings.
