Mrs. Dionne Gunter

I am a lifelong resident of Pontotoc county and I am married with three children.  I graduated high school from South Pontotoc Attendance Center and attended two years at Itawamba Community College.  I received a Bachelor of Science degree in Education and a Masters of Education both from Blue Mountain College.  I have been a National Board Certified Teacher since 2007 and have worked in education for the past 22 years.  I love working at the Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center.  I love being part of a team that equips students for their future in such a positive environment.

Course Description

Teacher Academy 1 and 2 (Grades 10-12) The Teacher Academy program is a designed to attract students to the field of education, to provide information and field experiences relevant to pursuing a degree in education, and to prepare students for the rigors of a career in education so they will remain long-term educators. The Teacher Academy pathway includes classroom and hands-on experiences that will prepare students for employment or continuing education in the education field.
