Mrs. Shelly Varnon

I am a registered nurse with eight years experience as a nurse before beginning my teaching career. I am certified as an American Heart Association CPR and First Aid Instructor. I am married and have three children. Since this program is designed for students who desire to pursue a career in healthcare, I love being able to use my nursing experience to engage students in the learning process by providing real-world, hands-on experiences that include basic medical and nursing skills.

Health Occupations Students of America

Health Occupations Students of America is a student organization for students in the Health Science program. HOSA members have opportunities to participate in many classroom and community outreach activities throughout the year. Students can participate in district, state, and national competitions throughout the year and be awarded scholarships.
