2022-2023 School Year

  • The Greatest Treasure Hunt in History: the Story of the Monuments Men

    Get the book

This book blends Art History, American History, and World history into a fascinating, true story of a group who saved the world's greatest works of art and historical record from the Nazi regime.

Students can purchase the book through the library for less than $7 or just listen to a weekly reading by the librarian and follow along in the library's online ebook.

After finishing the book and watching the movie, we will extend it to a primary source-based research project in Spring!

History, reading, and art-loving students...join us during a break on Tuesdays at Library Book Club!

  • Welcome back to a new school year at North Pontotoc High School and Middle School!

The library has a new look. See the photos section. Updates include new furniture and reading spaces, a new printer, new audio-visual equipment, and docking stations for Chromebooks.

Busy students can scan the online card catalog with a QR code, put books on hold for pick-up, and contribute to a wish list of books they would like to see available in the library.

Poetry Out Loud and Library Book Club are beginning the week of August 22nd with a focus on history in English Language Arts.

Incorporating history and art instruction in ELA includes a special project on oral histories in Spring and a library mural project that features Mississippi history.

    Best,

    Jeannie
