• South Pontotoc Middle School academics focus on the development of the whole student.  The faculty and staff believe that every student can and will learn at high levels.  The rigor and relevance within every classroom allows each student to be engaged in the learning process.  Teachers work diligently to ensure that every student can and will achieve.  There is also a focus to help students build positive relationships in all areas of life.

Students are expected to have ownership of their learning.  They are encouraged to take part in the learning process by evaluating their own progress through the Mississippi Curriculum Framework and the Mississippi Common Core State Standards.
