Welcome to Pontotoc County!


Pontotoc County School District is located in Northeast Mississippi. The school district includes two K-12 campuses and a career and technology center.  The total school enrollment is approximately 3358 students.


Pontotoc County School District has 54 National Board Certified Teachers out of approximately 250 teachers at the two K-12 campuses.  The teachers and staff give every effort necessary to strive and maintain the highest level of accreditation and to give the students of our district the best possible education.


North Pontotoc Schools

located at Ecru, Mississippi

North Pontotoc provides a quality education with a curriculum that is varied and flexible to meet the needs, interests, and abilities of individual students. Positive values are taught and modeled by the faculty and staff.
  • High School enrollment is approximately 480 students in grades 9-12.
  • Middle School enrollment is approximately 400 students in grades 6-8.
  • Elementary School enrollment is approximately 906 students in grades K-5.

South Pontotoc Schools

located 5 miles southwest of Pontotoc in the Springville community

South Pontotoc provides an outstanding opportunity with enthusiastic and cooperative young people in a very supportive community.
  • High School enrollment is approximately 412 students in grades 9-12.
  • Middle School enrollment is approximately 362 students in grades 6-8.
  • Elementary School enrollment is approximately 798 students in grades K-5.

Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center

located in the city of Pontotoc, Mississippi

Pontotoc Ridge Career and Technology Center has an open admission policy that provides qualified high school students with an opportunity to pursue a two-year training program in parallel with college preparatory or minimum high school graduation requirements.

Although there aren't many vineyards in our County, we have an ample amount of attractions that will please anyone visiting.  Pontotoc has shown dramatic growth in recent years without losing the small town advantage of friendship and togetherness.
